Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai (full day)
Overview
A full day from Cape Town to Gansbaai for cage diving with great white sharks, with about five hours at sea near Shark Alley. After an early pickup you drive to Gansbaai for breakfast and a safety briefing, then launch from the harbour. The boat anchors near Shark Alley for the cage dive, and anyone who would rather stay dry watches from the deck. Seals, seabirds and, in season, whales are often seen too. Back in the harbour there is lunch, a video of the day can be ordered, and cage divers get a certificate. Wetsuits are provided; bring a swimming costume and towel. Showers are available after the dive. Pickup between 06:00 and 07:00. The trip depends on the weather and sea, and you will be told as early as possible of any change.
