Overview
A private full day in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek with your own guide: at least three wine tastings and the Franschhoek wine tram. The day starts in Stellenbosch with an orientation of the old town and a wine and cheese tasting with a cellar tour on a leading estate. In Franschhoek you ride the wine tram through the vineyards, with a wine and biltong pairing. The route passes Drakenstein Prison, where Nelson Mandela spent his last months in prison, and its statue of him, and returns over Helshoogte Pass. At least 12 wines are tasted over the day. Pickup from your hotel in Cape Town between 08:00 and 09:00, back around 17:30. Guests under 18 may not drink alcohol.
